“Isle of Dreams”, an original from a small series of work titled “Tides of Enchantment”, a collaboration by Malia Anderson and Bahamian artist Samantha Sawyer.
These works intertwine the vibrant inspirations of their contrasted yet linked island backgrounds, with Sam growing up in the Bahamas and Malia growing up in Hawai’i. Each artwork reflects a dialogue between the two artists, as they swap the works throughout the process and build upon one another’s ideas. Sam and Malia create a magical and whimsical world, pulling inspiration from the natural environment.
